The Sixth College Core Sequence is a combination of two innovative programs: an interdisciplinary core curriculum in Culture, Art and Technology (CAT), and a first-year writing program that asks students not only to write papers but also to create visual arguments. This combined program examines art and technology as aspects of a larger human invention: culture itself. The Core Sequence takes an introductory, interdisciplinary look at how the things we humans make -- specifically, art and technology -- reflect what we believe and value; focus our attention; and alter our environments.
